Psychiatric Consultation
The HCMHA psychiatric consultation typically involves the assessment and treatment of co-occurring psychiatric disorders such as;
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Bipolar Disorders
- Schizophrenia
- Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD)
- Conduct Disorders, e.t.c
Assessment of co-occurring psychiatric disorders is necessary so that the client(s) can be equipped to fully participate in their treatment programs. A psychiatric evaluation also allows the psychiatrist to curate a treatment plan that fits an individual’s and/or a family’s needs in order to achieve the required goals.
